Elizabeth Short, known as the “Black Dahlia” was a 22-years old aspiring actress. The young woman was found murdered in near Los Angeles, California, January 15, 1947. Her body has been mutilated. Black Dahlia’s killer was never found and her murder is frequently cited as one of the most famous unsolved murders in American history. Her life and death have been the basis of numerous books and films.
