Who is this site for and what can I find here?

Artis Mortis is a curated printable art gallery and ebook library. It’s an archive of thousands of selected images, books, and documents. Also, it’s not an ordinary place for anyone interested in dark history, true crime art, unusual decor, occult illustrations, books, and rare ephemera. We can describe this project as a dark media and underground visual culture hub.

How to download the files presented here?

You have to be a premium member to download any file. Everybody who supports our project with a $50 donation gets a lifetime premium membership.

What is a premium membership and how can I get it?

A premium membership is an account privilege and full access to our collection. Premium members can download up to 20 files per day. Premium membership is lifetime, so you can return to our site every day for downloading. Premium members have access to all current and all future files.

Support our project with a one-time $30 donation to be a Premium Member and have unlimited downloads forever!

If you have any troubles with payment process or premium membership, contact us, please.

What payment methods are available for donations?

The main payment method on our site is cryptocurrency. We accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and some other common coins. Cryptocurrency checkout is integrated with this site and your membership will be activated automatically after payment is confirmed by the blockchain network (usually it takes some minutes).

We like cryptocurrency because it’s the only bank-independent payment service, and it’s got a future! But we understand that not every visitor is comfortable with this type of payment. So alternatively, we can accept donations via a popular 3rd party service called “Buy Me a Coffee”. It accepts credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. This service is available on our site as a widget (on the right bottom corner), but it’s not integrated with our site. We process these donations manually, and it could take us up to 24 hours to activate your premium account.

I haven't technical skills to send Bitcoin. Can I donate via Credit Card or PayPal?

Alternative payment methods are available on our external donation pages: Buy Me a Coffee (Credit Cards), Patreon (Credit Cards, PayPal) and Boosty (Credit Cards, PayPal, QIWI Wallet). We process these donations manually, so you have to wait for about 24 hours for us to activate your premium membership.

Should I register on your site before making a donation?

It’s not necessary. Your personal account on our site is created automatically during payment confirmation (you’ll get your registration info via email), optionally you can register here before donation. After registration your membership status will be accessible from your account.

If you already have an account you can login here. There is a function to restore your password if your forgot it.

If you have any troubles with login feel free to contact us.

I have made a donation but I still can't download files. What should I do?

If your premium membership was not activated after completing  cryptocurrency payment (it can take from a minute to an hour), and you didn’t receive any emails (don’t forget to check spam folder), please contact us. We’ll verify your payment and activate your premium membership. We do our best to solve all problems within 24 hours.

Is it possible to get a premium membership on a monthly basis for less?

No, we don’t offer monthly subscriptions. You support us once and you get access to all our files forever. We think it’s a good deal, not right?

I don't need premium membership and a full collection, I just need a single image (or book pack). Can I purchase it?

It’s not common practice, but if you really need one or two items, contact us and we’ll find a solution for a small donation!

Also, we have an Etsy shop where you can find many images from our collections, and you can buy any single image with instant digital delivery.

Can you print an image from your collection and send it to me?

Sorry, we don’t make any physical products. But we have a store on the great print-on-demand service called RedBubble where you can find prints and accessories with our images.

What is a print size of your images?

Every printable image is presented in two sizes. The first file is 8×10 inches or approximately 20×25 cm (when printed with 300dpi resolution) and the second file (with xl index) is 16×20 inches or approximately 40×50 cm. Depending on print size, you can choose any standard 8″ x 10″ or 16″ x 20″ picture or photo frame.

I have some great images (books, documents) for your project. Can I be your contributor or partner?

Surely, contact us for more details, please.

How often is your collection updated? What if you stop working on this project?

We are not very active on social networks, but we are constantly update this site. We add new items weekly (usually some times a week). It’s full-time work that we really like! And of course, we are here 24/7 to answer your questions and provide support.
