Nine Russian hikers died mysteriously on February 1, 1959, while on a skiing expedition in the northern Ural Mountains. Nine victims with severe, unexplained injuries were discovered on a secluded mountain. Some were partially dressed, two lacked eyes, and one lacked a tongue. Theories ranging from rare weather events to conspiracy to UFOs have developed ever since, to explain that still unsolved case.
